Just under five months ago, it became very clear that my girlfriend was the one, and that she is definitely the woman that I want to marry. If you happen to walk into a dishonest jewelry store, they will give you bad information and try to get you to spend way too much money on a ring. They’ll try to tell you that you should spend “two months salary” on a ring that you can probably get for half that cost somewhere else. Don’t go into a jewelry store unless you’ve already done at least 10 hours worth of research. The problem is that most of us guys just hate to read. We might be able to figure out our girlfriend’s ring size, but that’s about it. We don’t want to have to read and learn, we just want to spend money and get a good deal. I highly suggest that you read, do research, and find a reputable store, but if you don’t want to read and do research, there’s a way you can buy an engagement ring without getting had.
