i live without a car, and it is hell. I pay $72 a month in bus tickets, which run late, and oftentimes I have to ask a lot o people for rides home from work at night after the buses stop. I also cannot travel beyond a 5 mile radius, and the time lost standing at bus stops and going 10mph on a bus is not worth the money.

Excellent idea! But I could hear it now..major relationships and friendships crashing and burning as I write this. Now tell me this, what is the best way to react when the people you ask for these rides get tired and upset about you benefiting from them and you should grow up? Yikes!
