Is there any help or a place to ask the attorney general to help dismiss a old student loan? I beleive it should be dismissed because the government closed the school for lies to students. I have half the payment going to interest and I don't want to mortage my house, its paid for and my husband won't either. How can I get this ugly loan paid off. I have a payment that was for a 10,000 loan and owed 20,000 and its down to 16,000 0nly. Never missed, they want me to take out a mortage and won't stop asking me. I don't work now and I need the extra money to live on while looking for work again. My husband has SSD and that's how we pay on this loan I want to know if I can pay off a loan at Citi quicker.
