If you were on a quest to make money by leveraging the internet, and you were to explore and try every single alleged method of making money through the internet, chances are you’d make less than $25 in 90% of the things that you try. These places make it look like it’s extremely easy to make money through the internet, but that’s simply not the case. There are very few good and proven methods for making serious amounts of money through the internet.

Here are ways to not make money through the internet.

Get Paid to Read Emails – When I was young and naïve, I signed up for an account with InboxDollars, and I signed up for that account at least five years ago, and I still haven’t made enough money to get a check from them. I don’t read the emails, but I have plenty of referrals on it. You’ll only get paid pennies for each email that you receive, it’s just not worth your time.

“Work at Home” – If you do a Google search for working at home, you’ll be inundated with fraudulent results. Companies will try to sell you great directories of all these jobs that you can have that are highly paid and work at home. Most of these directories contain extremely out of date entries, and aren’t worth hard-drive space the files are stored on. The reality is that very few people actually work for another company and are 100% based from their own. There are a few businesses that do this but they are extremely few in number.

Pyramid Schemes – It’s amazing how often people get suckered into new versions of old pyramid schemes. These sites will claim they’re not a pyramid scheme, but if the sole focus of the product is to recruit new people into the system, and there’s no real product that’s being sold, it’s a scam. It’s as simple as that.

Unproven Companies – A lot of people sign up with new companies that are claiming great things but haven’t delivered anything. They claim it’ll be some new great wealth making system, and people will get excited and sign up, and then nothing ever happens. It happened all the time with “get paid to surf” programs in the late 90’s, and now it’s happening again with Agloco. People keep signing up, referring friends, and try to get their piece of the pie, but there’s nothing proven about it. No one’s made a dime from it. Why would one bother putting their time and energy into something so unproven and has a track record of being a poor business model ?

Buying Kits – A lot of companies will sell kits that will teach you how to become an eBay mogul, or teach you to make money on the internet doing X. These kits are worthless, if these people actually had some inside and valuable information, they would actually be doing what they’re selling, rather then selling kits which show people their alleged secrets.

90% of the “methods” to make money online aren’t worth anyone’s time. If you’re not willing to do days worth of research and come up with your own business model, you’re better off just getting a second job. I guarantee you’ll make more money picking up a part-time job compared to diving head first into some new program that’s unproven and you don’t understand.
