About "fill up the tank":
not all rental companies ask you to fill up your tank.

Once I had to rent a pickup truck from Enterprise, and after a couple of miles I had to fill up the tank. When I was going to return it I filled it again because it was almost empty (but it was enough to return to the rental place). While returning the truck I mentioned to them that the tank wasn't full when I had picked it up and so I should get some rebate! They said that they don't require the tank to be filled when returning. Damn! I paid about 60 bucks extra!! I should have checked the gas and asked about it in the first place!
