Tips to Make Your Baby Cheaper.
Whenever you add another member to your family, the amount of money that you spend is naturally going to increase. Adding a baby to the family is no exception. You’ll have to pay for daycare, food, diapers, clothing, toys, healthcare, shots, and so much more. It’s estimated that you’ll spend at least $20,000 raising your child, and chances are that cost is only going to increase over time.

Garage Sales – Babies grow out of their clothes at ridiculous rates. You’ll be buying new clothes for them every three months or so. Fortunately you can buy clothes for your little bundle of joy at garage sales for just pennies on the dollar compared to what you’d pay at a retailer. A “onesie” you’d buy a store for $10.00 can be had a rummage sale for $.50!
Generic – Never pay for a name brand, especially when it comes to baby’s toys and clothes. They don’t even care about the brand! Generic stuff works just as well as name-brand stuff, except you’ll be paying about half the price!
Coupons – You can always get manufacturer’s coupons, samples, and whatnot for just about every item your baby will need. You can find these online, get them from news letters, and a few other places. It’s amazing how much free stuff for your baby you’ll be able to get if you just go out and find it.
Let Mom Stay At Home – In families with more than one child, it often makes sense for the mother to stay at home with her child when compared to working. After you factor in the cost of daycare, transportation, work clothes, and the types of food that you eat, in many cases a mother can stay at home and just make a few dollars here and there and be ahead of where should be if she was working full time. This won’t work for every family, but at least consider the possibility.
You can save quite a bit of money just by following these few simple tips. Your baby will cost some money, but by being a wise consumer you can make junior a bit less expensive.
