Personal Finance Perspectives: Camping Edition
It’s been a while since I’ve done some links to what other personal finance writers have been created. I’ve been rather busy with life, but it looks like things are finally setting down here to where I can devote much more time to blogging. This weekend I get to take some time and relax out at one of the great state parks that South Dakota has with some of my friends, so I’m definitely looking forward to that! I thought I’d share some great things I found from around the personal finance world this week:
How to Effectively Set and Track Goals at Personal Finance 101 – Goals are something everyone needs to have, but very few of us actually do. Some of us think the idea of goals is stupid, others never consider it, and some just don’t have the time. Goals establish benchmarks as to where we want us to be, and help us accomplish more. Be sure to check out PF101’s article about how to effectively create goals.
The iPhone, From a Personal Finance Prospective at Make Your Nut – This is one of the more interesting named personal finance blogs I’ve seen of late, but has offered some commentary on personal finance issues. Today he takes on the iPhone which will be released in all of 8 days now. Cutting away all the hype, the author takes a look at buying the iPhone and whether or not it makes financial sense to do so.
Jobhunting Advice at Mapgirl’s Fiscal Challenge – I’ll be looking for my first real full-time job starting in a few months, as I graduate next May. Mapgirl takes some time and offers us some interesting perspectives and tips for those of you looking for a new job or thinking about ditching your current job. She makes some great points in this post, especially when it comes to salary negotiation, that everyone would be wise to follow!
Have a great weekend!
