Personal Finance Perspectives: Summer Cleaning Edition
It’s been about a month and a half since my room-mates and I moved into our awesome new home on the edge of town, and it’s becoming very apparent that none of us are neat freaks. I’ve spent the last couple of hours catching up on some much needed cleaning, so at least our house looks pretty good for the time being, let’s hope it stays this way! Anyway, be sure to take a look at some of these great personal finance articles:
The Digerati hosted the 106th edition of the Carnival of Personal Finance on Monday, there’s always a few great articles in there, be sure to check it out.
Trent over at the Simple Dollar has been wowing the personal finance community for some time now, if there’s one thing he’s got, it’s dedication. It’s not uncommon to see over 30 posts a week from the guy, it’s amazing how he finds the time! This week he offers some great tips and tricks on how to reduce the bills that are requirements for keeping up with daily life, definitely some good ideas to try to implement in your life.
For whatever reason, I’ve always been a fan of personal finance writers who are sharing their financial struggles and how they’re working through them. It’s exciting to hear the progress they make and the struggles they face as they try to better improve their financial situation. Story Girl over at My Money and My Life has been sharing her struggles of cutting back on spending, teaching, and just trying to get through life.
‘Lazy Man’ over at Lazy Man and Money looks back and thinks about the lessons that he wishes he could have taught him self all the way back in high school. I’m sure we would all done a few things differently, personally, I’d not go out to eat 5 days a week for lunch, now that added up! I must have spent $1,000 my senior year of high-school on fast-food, it did neither my waist-line or my wallet a favor! Be sure to check out Fifteen Things I’d Like To Say to High School Lazy Man.
