I was able to secure significant raises in each case.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;It costs so much to find a replacement for a position - especially if you are higher up the ladder - that many bosses are willing to throw an extra $5k-$10k just to keep you on board a bit longer.</description>
