Cooking Accomplished! has been a great find for myself and several of my friends. The concept is simple; you go online, pick the entrees you want and the date you want to assemble them. The difference between Cooking Accomplished! and several other businesses like this in Portland, is quality! The owner is a trained chef. They have a commercial kitchen where all the ingredients are prepped by Shelley and her staff. Many of my friends, prior to joining me for meal assembly sessions at Cooking Accomplished!, admitted to serving and eating frozen or pre-cooked meals several times a week and to dining out two or three times a week. We decided since we are worried about nutritional value and using quality local ingredients we would research meal assembly as a solution to reducing time spent shopping and preparing dinners with the goal of eating healthier. The only assemble-your-own meal company that we found in Portland, that had great selections, high quality local ingredients and prepped all their food in-house is CookingAccomplished! in Lake Oswego. Since I started preparing meals at CookingAccomplished! I've also signed up for a couple of great cooking classes. My son attended a kids class as well and he can't wait until the next one. Shelley has done a fantastic job of creating a quality experience!

Mr. Paulson, your piece on Super Suppers is almost right. I have been a "stay-at-home" mom for the past 14 years and let me tell you, I am never home. Between the volunteering at school and through-out the community and "helping" those paid-to-work friends, I have even less time to prepare meals. Supe Suppers has been my salvation, now everyone, including me, enjoys dinner time!

You wrote: <br/>"If there’s a stay at home mom in the family, chances are it doesn’t make a ton of sense to make use of Super Suppers"<br/>I have to totally disagree with this comment. I am a stay at home mom and it makes a ton of sense to use Super Suppers.<br/>First, stay at home parents are the busiest people I've ever known. Not only are we responsible for the raising of a child (teaching them to be a self-sufficient, upstanding citizen, we are responsible for keeping a clean house, being a chauffer, advice giver, nurse, conflict resolver, general handy man, and much more. The dinner hour is one of the most stressful times of day for most everybody. We are tired, hungry and stressed out from a busy day. And now, stay-at-home parent has to try and put a delicious, crowd pleasing dinner on the table, in a timely fashion while everyone is cranky! Sounds fun doesn't it. Having Super Suppers eliminates a lot of that stress in my family. I pull out dinner in the morning to defrost, pop it in the oven at 5 p.m. and then go play with my children. No more Mr. Cranky at my house! Dinner is served, it is delicious and everyone is happy! Thank you Super Suppers!
