i use cash.
no fees, no id theft, no data mining.
faster than a check, almost as fast plastic, more secure than either.
unless you have a robber close by...

I chose to write checks because I have a hard time keeping up with my balance if I use a debit card. I use duplicate checks so I don't have to write it into the register right away. Not to mention that it's a well established statistic (fact?) that people spend more (30%?) when they use plastic. I have found myself buying stuff on plastic and not even noticing how much I paid for it when I swipe. Not good for keeping on budget.

And people can steal your credit/debit cards too. Often a bank will keep on approving after you have run out of money in the account, they just charge you $20 overdraft fee per hit.

Sorry I give this post a big thumbs down.

I'm not going to give VISA, the folks who sponsor the debit card with my bank, all of my purchasing information. Guess ya'll just have to wait for Granny to write her check. Can I interest you in a cup of decaf in the meantime? ;-)
