		<description>While I can see this potentially happening with smaller, individually owned restaurants; I can attest to it not happening at big-chain restaurants. Our soups are made daily, our kitchen managers go through inventory daily, temperatures are taken throughout the day to ensure everything is being cooked or refrigerated properly, and we regularly throw out produce that may have come in less than desirable (bad shipment of lemons last week actually). With corporate restaurants there is a VERY high standard of how things must be done. For example, the salt and pepper shakers get cleaned out regularly. Most people would think that there isn&#039;t a need to clean them all the time; we do it anyways.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I think your post is in regards franchised restaurants and Mom and Pop ones. If something is going bad at our restaurant, it gets chucked. Furthermore, you get better service on Mondays; it&#039;s the slowest day of the week for the industry.</description>

		<description>I never thought of that, I&#039;ve tended to blame the restaurant or the manager before, not the day of the week! It&#039;s perhaps a good idea to forward your post to the health and saftey departments, so as they can choose a Monday to do their checking on.</description>
