They found that only 10% of individuals who tried the Atkins diet stayed with it and ended up successfully losing weight. Individuals who signed up for the “Dean Ornish” diet were successfully in losing weight 15% of the time. The diet called “This Way to Eat” was successful for diet participants 33% of the time.
Out of all the diets studied, the survey found that the most successful diet was Weight Watchers Online. A full 60% of dieters stayed on the plan and one-third of dieters were successful in reaching their weight goals. This is definitely a big endorsement for the plan.
When you’re dieting, you want to set yourself up for success. Trying to do it yourself with little or no accountability will make it very easy to get off your diet and back to doing the things that you were doing before you were dieting.
