Job Seeker Site Works Like a Matchmaking Service
For as long as most people can remember, looking for new jobs online involved keyword technology. You’d go to a job listing database site, type in a few keywords that you think described the work you were looking to do; and hopefully you’d receive a list of matching job opportunities.
Employers would also use these databases to find employees that match their requirements, using keywords of employee skill sets, like “organized, management, computer programming”.
The problems associated with this type of keyword searching for finding jobs or employees is that it’s hard to pinpoint the right keywords to find the best jobs for you; or in the case of employers- trying to uncover employees with the right skill set based on the words they used in their resumes.
A new company is offering a new way to find jobs. Realmatch uses a matching technology similar to a matchmaking personals site that will pair a job seeker with a job they’re qualified for based on their unique set of skills.
Realmatch was co-founded by Alan Schonberg, who is also the founder of Management Recruiters International – the largest recruiting company in the world. Management Recruiters International has over 1200 offices.
If you’re seeking a job with good employee incentives, whether actively or passively, you can create a profile on Realmatch (similar to people on matchmaking sites setting up their personal profiles!). When your profile is completed, the system will provide the best job matches based on the information in your profile.
Already, several Fortune 500 companies are using Realmatch in addition to offering competitive employee incentives in their recruiting efforts, including Pfizer, New York Life, Home Depot, Kraft, and Time Warner Cable.
