		<description>I just have one tip, since you&#039;re using a digicam to take pictures and store it on a computer, take multiple backups on inexpensive flash/thumb drives and spread it out across a couple of homes (like friends and relatives). No need to pay for online services.</description>

		<description>I love the idea of keeping the photo inventory on your computer, but if there is a fire you probably won&#039;t try to bring your computer with you. (I might, but I doubt that would be first on everyone&#039;s list!!)  

It would be a great idea to upload those photos to a server- you can keep them for free in an account with a digital photo developing company (upload them as if you were going to print them, but just store them there), or a number of online storage places.  

That way, if you  need your photographs and something has happened to your computer, you can use someone elses computer to retrieve them.</description>
