iRazoo is a new search engine attempting to compete with the big 3, and it might stand a chance – at least with contest and sweepstakes lovers!  Each time you search for something in the iRazoo search engine, you have the opportunity to instantly win an Amazon gift certificate.  You can also refer friends to iRazoo- and then if your friend wins a gift certificate when using the search engine, so do you!  This will increase your chances of winning.

I used the search engine throughout the day whenever I needed to look something up, and found the results to be relevant to what I was searching for.  Each search result showed me whether the site had been recommended by other iRazoo users, and if so- how many times.  

Each search you make on iRazoo adds points to your account, as does voting on the search results you receive.  The points you earn can then be redeemed for larger prizes, including:

  • mp3 players
  • playstation
  • wii
  • gift cards
  • memory cards
  • and other merchandise

In addition to offering a search engine with instant win potential and a rewards points system, iRazoo also has a community page where you can send messages to other iRazoo users, upload and view user entered videos, save items to your “favorites”, and link to people you label as friends.  The community page has many other capabilities for the social networking addicts, from message boards to blogs to audio upload capabilities, the option to upload and vote for people’s photographs, and join groups of like-minded individuals.  Essentially, the search engine is part of a social networking community and rewards program similar to Mypoints.

iRazoo seems fairly new, so for anyone into social networking and contests, it seems it may be a good time to become part of the site.
