I cut the cord on cable a long time ago and went with DISH Network because of the money I would save each month for the same programming. When I started working for DISH I was introduced to a lot of features and new gadgets that enhanced my TV viewing that with cable were not available. I recommend to anyone who loves TV without waiting for downloads online, switch to DISH and get a truly entertaining experience.

Satelite Direct is a crock, I tried it and there is no real channel guide, quality is horrible and it stopped working after 2 weeks. Dont do it.

Found another great alternative to cable. I stream tv through my computer and hook directly to my HDTV. A lot of variety for about a fifth of the cost. Here is the link that I signed up under.

Comcast offers “deals” as a ploy to get your business, then hike the prices astromomically. They're also horrible to deal with and attempt to over-charge their customers all the time. Their “deals” are definitely not actually deals. Avoid them if possible!

Join Netflix. Netflix is a great deal and is a good alternative to a movie channels like HBO and Showtime. For the same price a month as one of the premium channels, you have movies delivered to your house. Plus, many of HBO’s shows are available for rental as box sets.

You can also get DVD’s at your local library. Most libraries offer DVD rentals for free or for a minimal cost compared to Blockbuster.
