billeThere are a lot of personal finance sites out on the web, some of which have been around just a few weeks and others that have been around for several years. Normally I don’t toot other blogger’s horns too much, but I’ve found another financial web-log that’s definitely worth checking out. The site is billeater.com; they have very well researched content and some great money saving tips.

When I started my business, my attorney suggested that I register as an LLC. I don’t know much about choosing between creating a LLC, an S-Corp, a C-Corp or being a sole proprietor, but trusted in his judgment. After reading through an article that compared all of the options in an easy to understand manner, I can tell that I made the right choice.

Another article that I’ve enjoyed recently is “Debt Reduction: Don’t fall for the minimum payment due“. It’s a great explanation of the trap that credit card companies try to shove their customers in. These companies want consumers to finance their purchases for as long of a purchase as possible so that they pay the maximum amount of interest. The article shows the true costs of only paying the minimum payment are and provides a solution to help you get out of debt faster.

The site also has a number of interesting calculators, including one that will help you calculate your total electrical usage in your home, and provide you some suggestions to help reduce your current electrical usage based on the data that you put in. There’s also a mortgage calculator, and interestingly enough a “water leak calculator.

Either way, it’s an awesome site. It’s definitely worth stopping by, you can also visit billeater.com’s facebook fan page.
