There is a little controversy about the safety of these since they contain another chemical as well as the nicotine. What the authorities do not tell us is that this very same chemical is actually contained in normal cigarettes, along with 4000 other chemicals. But then the government and the tobacco companies would make tremendous losses if these become really popular.
