Citibank raised my interest rate from 9.99% to 29.99% Thank God my mother was able to help me pay the card off before it went into effect. Yet they still screwed me once I paid them off. They decreased my credit limit from $2,700 to $500. I'm done with credit!

Citibank just raised interest rates on my husband's two credit cards from 11.24% and 18.99% to 29.99% on both. Hoping I don't get a letter in the mail as well, because I also have one of their credit cards. Absolutely ridiculous. He's never missed a payment...he does carry a balance on both, but he always pays more than the minimum payment. It is unfortunate that so many credit card companies are screwing over their customers.

So, I'm not the only one. I've received notices recently from Etrade and Chase banks that my rates are doubling. I'm pissed, because I make all my payments on time, and have a good overal debt-to-income ratio.

Very good advice. In fact, Wells Fargo recently announced that they will be hiking credit card interest rates 3%: <a href="http://www.creditcardchaser.com/wells-fargo-expected-to-raise-credit-card-interest-rates-3/" rel="nofollow">http://www.creditcardchaser.com/wells-fargo-exp...</a>
