the old adage "you are what you eat" has more weight now with these recent findings. Or should we say, "your health is determined by what you eat". I think our medical industry is really more into "curing" rather than "preventing". Maybe because we're more desperate, we're more in pain when we already have the disease and thus are willing to pay more. Or maybe this attitude is just ingrained in our society and psyche.

Anyway, thanks for publishing this article and letting all of us know how we can keep ourselves naturally healthy.

It's nice to see an article on possible natural (non-drug) ways to lower blood pressure. You've provided the important basics of lifestyle changes to lower BP. You may also want to consider Resperate (www.resperate.com) -- a medical device that guides you is a structured breathing exercise that has been proven in many studies to lower BP. It has kept my BP in check and also is very relaxing -- a much needed added bonus!

Nice summary of things to try to lower your blood pressure naturally. Exercise is a huge help for the heart and body and it does not have to be painful, just regular. Walking is a great exercise to start with, just make sure you walk at least 30 minutes and 5-7 days a week.

It's the changes to your diet and lifestyle that you make everyday that start to make the difference.

Sodium can be lurking in sweet foods too, like muffins. So make sure you read the labels to check the sodium levels before you buy processed foods.

Your piece on lowering High bp naturaly without use of drugs is quite timely and enlightening. Let me say that I've benefitted myself, more so on your comment on oligofructose. I'll certainly look out for OFS. Thank once more.
