Not apparently, definitely! They accessed my CC information using Amazon and started charging me every month after a "free" trial expired. It is nearly impossible to cancel the subscription online too.

RK is correct. You can't download any title in mp3 format, only the audible proprietary format. For instance, if you want to listen to it on your generic mp3 player in your car, you have to record it as an mp3 with a soundcard recorder. An extra step you have to do, which should be unnecesssary. Because of this inconvenience, I predict they won't last. I would not get a subscription to a service that is doomed.

Be aware that you cannot download the book in CD or MP3 format. You must use Audible's player, which is very very very poorly designed application. It stops in the middle of reading, application crashes and you lose where it stopped last, so you have to go through the book again to find where you had left. Tech support replied to kill the app or restart your phone: what, you want me to restart the phone 6 times in one hour?? Please give me my money back so I can buy the CD.

Watch out if you get a free trial via Amazon / Audible. Apparently they roll the "free" trial straight into membership and start charging your credit card without any notification. Fraudulent credit card scam >:
