Audible Managers: Way to Manage Your Audible.com Audio Books
If you are a subscriber of Audible.com or are interested in getting audio books online, you’re going to need one of the Audible download managers to download your audio books. There are currently a number of ways that users can download their purchased audio books for enjoyment, including clients for the Mac, PC and various mobile devices.
Audible Desktop Download Manager – The Audible desktop download manager is an iTunes-like tool which downloads and plays the audio books that you purchase from Audible.com The app itself works a lot like iTunes, except that all audio book purchasing is done in the web-browser. Audible.com Android App – Audible.com recently released a client for Android, which allows users to download audio books that they’ve purchased directly onto their Android-based smartphone. If you plan on using your android phone to listen to audio books on the go, this is definitely the client that you’re looking for. There are also some added social features, such as achievements in the application. It does take a while to download audio books, so, if possible, download them over Wi-Fi.
Audible.com iPhone App –The audible.com iPhone application is another way to get your audio books onto your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. You can use the iPhone download manager to side-step iTunes from the desktop and make it so that your audio books are downloaded directly to the iPod. The iPhone/iPod app works much like its Android counterpart, so, if possible, download your audio-books from a Wi-Fi connection.
You’re probably going to want to use the desktop download manager if you plan on listening on your computer. If listening to audio books is a strictly on-the-go task for you, download either the iPhone or Android app. If you are using another device such as a Kindle or non-Apple MP3 player, you’ll also need the audible desktop download manager.
